An adult-audience science fiction epic, the Galaxyrise Saga depicts empathetic scientific effort optimistically and heroically. It takes place in a distant galaxy filled with ancient relics, wormhole passages, and vast civilizations. The characters adventure through court intrigue, academic sniping, delicate negotiations, ancient conspiracies, romance, and interstellar combat. It celebrates the value of making the universe a better place even when faced with problems of our own making. There’s a cozy village, a giant clockwork solar system, an antagonistic grumpy professor, a stained-glass library station, and a sea lion star captain.

Galaxyrise is a complete duology, consisting of the novels All the Stars as Monuments (87,000 words) and A More Glorious Dawn (96,000 words). It also works well as a single volume.

Galaxyrise is space opera in the vein of Scalzi’s Interdependency series or Corey’s Expanse series, mixed with Chambers’ Wayfarers series and academic drama.

I am currently seeking literary representation for All the Stars as Monuments. Contact me for more information.
